Question ISIC and British Heritage Pass

Hi everyone!

I'm from Argentina and I wanted to ask you if I should apply for ISIC card or the BH Pass. Is it worth it? I'm travelling to the UK next year, in September to be more exact, and my friends and I are trying to save money as much as it is possible. We want to visit all the historical places and it won't be cheap at all. Do you know any tips to save money there?

Thanks a lot in advance!!!

Leti

Make a list of which historical sites you want to go to and which of those you're likely to go to, then check which ones the pass applies to. Compare the cost of the pass to the cost of visiting the sites without the pass. Then you'll know if it's worth it.

You really need to make sure that you go to enough historic sites to ensure that you get your value from the Heritage Pass.

The pass gets you into historic sites managed by English Heritage (and affiliated organisations like Scottish Heritage) but it does not get you into independently managed sites or into sites managed by National Trust.

However it does include some major sites (that are usually expensive to get into) such as Stonehenge, the Roman Baths in Bath, Leeds Castle in Kent, Warwick Castle, Tintagel Castle in Cornwall and many of the Shakepeare attractions in Stratford-upon-Avon. If you are planning on seeing four or more of these within a week, then it probably is worth the money.
