Default Moving To London

My friend and I are planning on moving to London after Christmas. Perhaps we are being a little naive, but we want an adventure; something new and exciting.

I'm asking for your thoughts and any advice that you may have to help!

London is great, a really fantastic place to live.
You'll have a blast!

Where are you from? How long will you be in London? Will you work there?

Obviously if you're from overseas you'll need more advice than if you're English.

Since autumn says he/she is from Derbyshire, I'm assuming he/she is getting around the problem by being British.

:] I'm British.

Would it be better if there was more of us? I'm thinking of costs and things.

Once you get there you'll find more people. Most of the people on here are from overseas so have a different perspective on London. Aussies seem to swear by http://www.loot.com/ and http://www.gumtree.com/ for finding flats and flatmates. Take the train down for a weekend to start job hunting and flat hunting before you move. Email your cv to agencies or ask whatever company you work for now to transfer you to London.
