I'm wanting to travel around europe over my summer holidays in 2008. I have savings, but i have no idea how much it'll cost cos this is the first time i've ever been travelling.
I'd like to visit:

France
Germany
Italy
Poland
Greece
Austria

I have no idea of costs. My trip will be 6-7 weeks long.
I know i can get a train card thing to travel around europe for around £250. There'll be food on top of that - say another £200 (i dunno? id rather over estimate than underestimate though) places to stay over night would add up to around £300 i'd imagine.
i'm really unsure of costs and prices and so on! ideas, please?

7 weeks = 49 nights. Most hostels are around 20 euros a night (some more some less). 20 euros x 49 nights = well over 300 quid. Expend to spend at least as much on food, local tranpsortation, museum admissions, etc as you do on a bed each night. Add more if you like to go out clubbing. That'll give you a rough idea.
