We also stayed at ACB it was clean and the staff were terrific. It was noisy during the night. The star mart was handy across the road and the 24 hour arcade/internet place around the corner was cool. Would stay here again.
I stayed in Bamber House in Mount Eden and it was lush with cheapish rooms and brillant staff and grounds! Bus from the door step into Auckland but far enough away from places such as ACB
