Default bed bugs at HI wakiki

I have travelled to Hawaii many times, last year i stopped off in honolulu and stayed at the HI backpacker close to Wakiki beach. Apart from the rude Brasilian staff i encounted a severe dose of bed bugs from my bed. I was left with a beautiful track of bites all over my face, neck and body. I must say i looked lovely on the beach. The management of the hostel changed my matress, but the general filthy and damp feeling will not encourage me to stay there again. I will be in Hawaii at the end of Janauary and am seeking a new hostel. Does anyone have any suggestions for a Australian female?

BUG's Honolulu and Waikiki hostels are listed here:

You should write a review of the HI hostel in Waikiki to let people reading our reviews know about your experiences.

Default HI Waikiki Hostel

You are bound to run across bed bugs wherever you go. Once a hostel gets bedbugs they are very difficult to get rid of. I've stayed at HI in Waikiki and it was ok. There are much worse out there... With a couple of exceptions most of the Hawaii hostels are now decent. In the past there were some terrible ones.

Default Hawaii hostels

Hello, you are right about the bed bugs at Waikiki beachside... but in fairness to them they have spent alot of money and changes and the problem is gone. best of luck and enjoy your travels.

You are bound to find bedbugs anywhere you go now a days. Hawaii is not an exception. It is necessary to wash our clothes in hot water after every trip. and in case bugs are carried by mistake we should treat them against bugs . One such package is offered by deadbedbugs.com

Bedbugs every where. Causing a concern. Asked for a package from deadbedbugs.com to apply and remove the bugs from my house. Found them effective. If you have carried some you can try it out. as they are seen carried away from one place to another.
