Ruth,
Though you can expect to get work right now up through Bundaberg, citrus regions further north and inland, and then on to Bowen, Ayr and the Burdekin Valley before futhern north about Innisfail and the Atherton Tablelands, you'll find the season drawing to an end as the wet season approches within a couple of months, and picking the wet season to head around the top end and down the WA coast is really the wrong direction to go for both work and weather.

I'd be having a look at Australian JobSearch - Harvest jobs - Harvest Trail and you can get an idea of where work will be at any given time, and there'll certainly be more options for next six months heading CW and the the pearling season is in Broome about April/May to September/October and that's far better timing to be getting up towards the top end.

If you're planning on doing three months "specific" work they now call it rather than seasonal work for the second WHV, a look at the WHV details on www.immi.gov.au will show that there is a far greater range of work you can do these days instead of just fruit picking, perhaps even better money to be had doing some general farmwork, driving harvesters or whatever, and then if work is harder to come by, have a look at www.wwoof.com.au as that also qualifies you for a second WHV

You'll also likely find it much easier to meet up with fellow travellers, travelling best direction with the seasons.

Safe travels.
