For nice people, you cannot beat Fiji! They are seriously the most friendly and welcoming people I have ever met. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Diving in Fiji is also awesome, if you have the money to get out to the more remote islands.

There are beautiful beaches in Fiji; most are in the Yasawa Island group. There is one spectacular beach on Viti Levu called "Natadola Beach", outside of Sigatoka. Probably the most beautiful beach I've ever seen and perfect for swimming.

Guess you mean 2005. Anyway my daughter did Tahitti on a layover to NZ. Stayed in hostels for 20 a night. Had a wonderful time.
