For those of you looking for something a little different pay a visit to the Mac nut farm on the windward side outside of Kaneohe. There's a little shopping area and fresh coconut cocktails which will cool you down.
Head out from there and just a minute up the road you'll hit Kualoa Ranch. Horseback riding, shooting, quad trails, you name it there's plenty there. It is also the site of many famous movies such as Jurassic Park.
Make your way out of there and take the Kamehameha Highway further up to the crouching lion for some dinner. If you still have time you can head further up towards the north shore. There's plenty to do and some beautiful beaches on the way. Here's a map of the road.
