I've been to Olembia a few times.

It is an upmarket hostel that is probably the nicest backpackers hostel in St Kilda. It is a quiet place so it may not suit you if you're looking for a place to party.

Jackson's Manor is another good hostel in St Kilda that you may want to consider if Olembia is full.

Thumbs down

I was told to leave Olembia on my first morning because I accidently set the fire alarm off in the kitchen because of some dodgy toaster. Not only that but Hiedi the staff member seemed quite pleased to humiliate me publicly over the whole thing making me feel about two inches tall. It's quite easily the worst experience I've ever had at a hostel. They were mad because the fire brigade charge $1000 to respond to alarms and they couldn't stop the response when the alarm went off so they took it out on me. Hostel life seems ever more to be about money, and Olembia cares more for money than people.
