I am going to OZ this year on a 12 month WHV, can anyone tell me which bank would be best to use, i won't be making too many withdrawals, says 3-5 a week, i've looked on the web at a few but am a bit confused to which is best!
ok well in WA the best bank is bankwest (chepest) get the teen scheme account (thats not credit though) and u get a fair bit of withdrawals for free. about 20 i think.u can use this all over australia thouhg. also national bank and challenge are ok i think...challenge is a bit more expensive. but yeh hope that helps. i would go bank west if i were u.

But I have looked at bankwest though, but what about the commonwealth bank of oz? that seems to be good too, and the ANZ seem to ok, siiigh, so many choices...
If you're travelling around Oz then it is probably best to go with a larger bank like ANZ, Commonwealth, National or Westpac since their ATMs are everywhere. Although you can use other bank's ATMs, you pay a higher fee for this.
If you're staying mostly in one spot then a local bank like Bankwest or Bendigo Bank is better since the fees are usually less and sometimes the service can be better.
