Default Visa extention

i am on my final 3 months living and working in australia on a WHM visa, i am in the process of researching possible ways of staying here. in a desperate measure i have even moved up to alice springs to seek work sponsorship (i am unskilled)

can someone please help me, with perhaps other ways that i have missed or a loop hole that you are perhaps aware of.

If you have done seasonal work like fruit picking for at least three months in one of the following areas (http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/work...postcodes.htm), you can apply for a second Working Holiday Maker visa.

See www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets/49whm.htm#a for more information.

Default Hi Tim, thank you but..

I should have mentioned in my first post, that i am on my second yr visa now, i did the fruit picking thing to get this far.....

i have read the immi.go.au web site so often, that its all gibberish now, and i am driving myself insane trying to research possibilities.

Perhaps i should go to a 'good' immigration agent, know of any?

A good immigration agent could help but only if there is some scheme that allows you to stay here. I'm not sure you probably would have already found something by now if you read the immi.gov.au website so often.

Have you had a WHV visa in New Zealand yet? It should be pretty simply to get and it will let you stay down under for another year and you should be able to pop over for more travel in Australia once your NZ visa has expired.

Default thanks Tim

i have used this site since i first travelled 2 yrs ago, and it is excellent, and the forums very useful.thank you so much for your time and your help.

I really wanna settle down now,(OZ is my home) so i think i will go in further with a intedependant relationship visa. We have only been seeing eachother for 6 months, but i will try go on a tourist visa till the 12 months are made up. I just didn't really wanna put that sorta pressure on our relationship.

anyway
thank u again
all the best

If you are in a relationship with an Australian, then a good immigration agent could find a way to help you stay in Oz. I had a quick look at the immi.gov.au website and it seems possible to stay under this scheme. I don't know what your chances are but it is certainly worth pursuing further.

Good luck.
