Default Austrlian Visa Processing Time

DEAR FRNDS,

I have submitted my application fro australian visa by january 19 2007, and stil it seems that my visa has been under processing,

i recieved my medical and pcc reuest by september and i was able to send them bac by october, but unfortunatly the lcu have requested for a second medical test fro my chest xray and my second medical test has been send bac by 19 december. but now its realy confusing how long it will take to get the grand letter, cos now its been more than a year

really worried!!! and anyone ther to help me by giving a good advice fro what to do now??

What kind of visa are you applying for? If it's just a WHV then it shouldn't take so long, but if you're trying to immigrate permenantly then that's a long process.

hi m8,

i have applied for sub class skill independent visa(a permanent resident visa) but its takjign more than a year, have you go any idea what us teh actual processing time?

Processing times for PR visas are quoted on www.immi.gov.au as taking up to 12 months and that is but a guide and I have heard of people waiting longer.

Australia has been and still is a very popular country to immigrate to and many people (100,000+/Y) do have applications rejected for probably not being eligible or failing to provide full information.

Sounds like yours in on the approval track but election, new government, Xmas/NY holidays etc. along with time take on all the rejected applications will just slow the process down.

Hopefully by now you may have had it approved.
