Hi there fellow backpackers, recently purchased my around the world ticket, including 12 weeks in oz starting in the beautiful city of sydney. My question for everyone is how do i go about getting money over there if i want to avoid getting a credit card that charge high interest rates? can i use my current account debit card that i use here in the ATM machines over in Australia???
apart from that im ready for the best experiance of my life.

Your regular bank card should suffice., Just make sure CIRRUS and other names are on it. You could also check with your bank manager and get info. My bank card workewd just fine NZ and OZ wide.Also you can buy phone cards real cheap.
