Hey guys... am gonna head to Oz to Cairns (I assume the weather is the best here?) for end of June/Start July until end September and am hoping to work over there..was thinking of staying in 'Asylum' hostel for the first while as some friends are gonna be around there at the same time so not sure if we will get an apartment, but if we dont, does anyone know the best hostel to stay long term? It would need to be in the city and clean with a good atmosphere - am a little worried that the 'Asylum' would be a bit much after awhile?!! Also, anyone know the score with getting a job there that time of year? Have little bit of experience in waitressing but would prefer to work in a surf shop like city beach or somewhere like it! Have an Aussie passport as grew up in Perth so visa not a problem... any help would be great!! Thanks!
