Default Which flight?

I've got two options for a London-Darwin flight. One has two two-hour stops and the other has one two-hour and one thirteen-hour stop but is £70 cheaper. Is it worth taking the cheaper one but being stuck in an airport for 13 hours?

Has anyone got views on long waits in terminals?
Also has anyone got any experiance of either Garuda or Brunei airlines?

Hi,

Sorry, but I dont have the answers to your questions. I am, however, planning to fly from London to Oz and was wondering if you would share with me how much your flight cost and who are you flying with.

I dont plan to leave until about November but was unsure if leaving booking flights until about June/July was wise as I dont really have the money now and haven't made any solid time plans. I used a website, www.expedia.co.uk, to compare prices and didnt know at what point the flight operators drastically bump up the costs. I managed to find flights for about £550 from London -> Dubai -> Sydney.

It really depends on when the stop is (what time of day) and also where the stop is.

If you arrive in the morning then it may be possible to clear immigration and spend the day sightseeing before returning to the airport for your onward flight.

I recently had a 12 hour stop in Singapore and spent the day in the city instead of at the airport. In this case it was preferable to a couple of hours at the airport.

The two cheapest flights I've found are with ebookers.co.uk or travellers contact point, they list some flights on the website but you'll have to ring them for november flights. The cheapest flight i've found is about £440 inc tax. Cheapest airlines are Brunei and Malaysian.
