Unhappy To Oz I go

Hi
anyone please help... i'm off 2 Oz in Oct. but i'm visiting family in south africa first, do you know if i can simply buy a one way ticket to Oz from south africa, then buy my return from Oz to Uk later on???

also want to set up a bank account in Oz from here (uk) is that possible?

advice and tips much appriciated!

Hi, I'm not sure about the flight thing but I'm heading out to oz in Sept and have found so far that the best bank account to hav would be with ANZ. You can set it up over the net and once activated you can start putting money in. Once you get to Oz, go to a branch and they'll activate your account - all you need is your passport. They charge5 or 110 dollars a month to 'manage' your account but you don't pay to get money out like with a lot of banks over there. Whatever you do don't use the one that STA travel advertise - they charge you for everything but its hidden in the fine print.
