i planning to go to oz in feb 2006 so have loads of time to sort stuff . is it best to plan ur trip before u go and book stuff up or to just bokk first bit then see where the mood takes u? i will be travelling alone so what is the best way to meet people?

I am looking to travel to Australia in late January and then hopefully move on to Thailand until mid April. I am really interested in what you are going to do while you are out there because i'm worried about travelling alone. Are you meeting up with friends? Are you looking forward to doing it by yourself or are you worried aswell? Have you booked your trip already?

i am only now starting to plan my trip. so have no real plans yet. i am going alone but have been assured by lots of people this is fine as will meet lots of new friends. i am looking forward to it but also vv scared. have not booked anything yet but think i will soon before jibbing out!

i am also traveling Solo to OZ in Oct, excited and scared! i'm sure we will have a blast!!
still abit confussed about something, i wanna open a bank account in OZ, but not really sure wot to go 4? any ideas?

Hey everyone, I'm actually at work kinda messing around. I've been getting emails from all my friends who are now traveling and they are making me thinkg about it like crazy.

Like many of you, I"m also planning to go to Australia come January. And just like everyone else I kinda plan to go alone and am also a bit scared. I've heard thought that it is the most backpacker friendly place in the world? Does anyone know where the huge packpacking communities are? Hope to talk to you guys a bit more, it's nice to see that there are other people who are in the same boat as me.
