Lightbulb Travelling as a couple

Hey any peps out there that have or are travelling as a couple. We are setting off next year on a Round world trip and my other half is worried as he's been to Aus before and alot of couples split whilst travelling. We are not kids, 25 & 29 and we have our own home etc. Not like the people he travelled with previously, i.e young, never lived together etc!

Let me have your experiences!

Thumbs up Aus does not cause splits

Hello, You do not need to be concerned. IO do not believe it was the country specifically that broke them up. Australia is a happy, low stress environment so I think it may have been co-incidence not the environment.

You might want to look at a website called www.couplesworldwide.com. It is a global website for couples to meet other couples in their area or for when they travel to other places. It is not for swingers.

I don't think that the country you visit will make much of a difference but I would be aware that travelling as a couple can be stressful. As you point out, you aren't kids so you'll not be feeling restricted as want to go out getting mashed, trying to pull, but you will be constantly living out of each others pockets which can be wearing. I'd recommend making sure you try to take a bit of personal time out each day, maybe a couple of hours, as I don't beleive any two people can spend all day every day with each other and not go mad.

Hi there, My boyfriend travelled for 9 months around Australia and NZ and we are still togehter. I think you kind of find a balance out there - yeah sure your gonna row but it is all good. A lot of people say it is make or break but we are much closer. You will find that you need your own space though.
