I'm thinking about renting a car in Tijuana to drive in San Diego and LA. I can't find any rental companies in Southern California that rent cars with a manual transmission but I can rent them in Mexico. Unfortunately the rental companies that I checked in Tijuana say that you can't drive north of the border, but I figure that there must be a rental company somewhere in Tijuana that will let me drive to the US as long as I leave a deposit and pay the appropriate insurance.

Does anyone know of a flexible rental company in Tijuana?
