Default Sedona to Flagstaff?

Help! Am travelling to California and Arizona in February, and I can't for the live of me find any travel between Sedona and Flagstaff, in Arizona. I'll be flying from LA to Phoenix, then getting the shuttle from Phoenix to Sedona, so that part is no problem, and I can get Greyhound from Flagstaff back to Phoenix. The problem is getting from Sedona to Flagstaff!

All the advice I've found is concerning the roads to take, and I don't drive. Are there any shuttles, buses or trains that go between these towns?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think there is anything that goes straight between them. Everything I've found uses Pheonix as a hub so you'd have to go back to Pheonix (or at least towards it) and then back out. If you catch the commuted bus to Cottonwood can you get anything from there to Flagstaff?

How much luggage will you have? It's only 30 miles. I would consider walking. You might be able to get a taxi but that could be expensive. I guess that leaves hitchhiking.

Try contacting their visitor info centre at info@sedonachamber.com to see if they have any suggestions.

I searched the web and couldn't find anything either. It does seem unusual that two nearby tourist cities don't have a bus connection, but I guess most tourists travel by car.

If you were visiting Flagstaff first you could ask around the hostels there about a lift from another traveller.

Alternatively you could phone the Phoenix-Sedona shuttle (928) 282 2066 and ask them if they know of any other company that does this route. It is possible that they have a better idea of this than I do. They may be able to take you part of the way (to Camp Verde perhaps?) where you can wait for the Greyhound to Flagstaff (Camp Verde is not listed as a stop on Greyhound's website so they may not get off the Interstate, but it is worth asking).
