I'm working (as a volunteer) in El Estor, Guatemala. And in March/April we will be running out of volunteers...

Option A:
Our computer volunteer has after two years in El Estor decided to go back to Argentina, which leaves us without anyone to maintain the computers and teach the students computer skills (such as Word, Excel and internet). The position is open from March 10 until October, but a shorter period of time might very well be possible. The school year is divided in terms of 8-9 weeks with exams in March, June, August, and October.

Do you feel like going to Guatemala to help native Mayan teenagers by playing computer games in your own internet café? Then you might be the person we are searching for - please send me an email (solskinsglad@gmail.com).

Option B:
Our teacher of sports is leaving us after Easter. Sports can be anything that you feel like teaching; football, basket, volley, gymnastics, dancing, yoga... you name it. The position is open from April 9 until October, but a shorter period might very well be possible. The school year is divided in terms of 8-9 weeks with exams in March, June, August, and October.

For both positions goes that you will receive free room and board while working. Some knowledge of Spanish is needed as you'll have to teach in Spanish (sports are obviously easier to teach with just basic Spanish and gestures). If you are two persons travelling together, sharing one position will be no problem; you'll still get free food for both of you. You'll have the weekends (three days) off.

We are three volunteers working in the school, one in the office, one in the library and one as an English teacher.
