Question Camping Safaris in South Africa

Im travelling to South Africa on the 23rd August landing in Cape Town on the 24th. I intend to travel from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth and back and hope to be able to go on a camping safari trip for a few days at some point on my journey. Can anyone recommend an organisation or a particular park who arrange these type of trips?

Default Tented Safari Camps

I know this is an old thread but there are some superb places for this if anyone is looking. We have a couple on our books, I don't intend for this to look like self promotion in anyway but it is such a superb way to vacation in Africa:

http://www.african-vacation.co.za/lodge.asp?lodgeid=28 - Bayethe luxury tented safari camp in Shamwari Game Reserve.
http://www.african-vacation.co.za/lodge.asp?lodgeid=4 - Elephant Valley Lodge in Chobe, Botswana.
http://www.african-vacation.co.za/lodge.asp?lodgeid=40 - Chobe Under Canvas in Botswana.
http://www.african-vacation.co.za/lodge.asp?lodgeid=41 - Savute Under Canvas in Botswana.

So many people come to Africa and stay in a hotels. Experience the wilderness, the animal sounds, the exhileration of being in the wild....stay in a tent. You don't have to slog it literally. These are luxury tents with every creature comfort you could imagine.

I'm more than happy to help anyone out with what this sort of vacation entails, even if its not through us. It is so worth the experience.
