Default Navigation System Cape Town

Hi! i've always had a certain problem with orientation.. and last fall I met some guys in Istanbul who had solved this problem with some software on the mobile phone..
I am leaving for Cape Town in a couple of weeks and while i was looking at maps and guides i remembered my mates from istanbul and decided that this time I'll be prepared.. one problem though now is presented by choice - quite a few navsystems to choose from.. has anyone had any experience with any... TomTom or nav4all maybe...

you should consider the price range - since one seems to be for free so far

isn't it much better for your nerves just to buy a tomtom then?

I don't know. Considering the price range - I guess nav4all is much better. But if you have it for private use only, you can make compromises if it has problems with quality.

You are right. I would be more willing to compromise with a software which is free and have problems, than buying a tomtom and encountering difficulties. Actually yesterday I read in a forum that tomtom mobile has quite poor coverage on small cities.

Hey guys, since you have discussed this issue for quite a while, can you tell how much Kb does the programme use regularly? I don't want to receive a huge bill for just trying it out.

I guess it depends on two things - how long is the route which you are navigated through and the charge of your internet provider.

I use the Garmin Quest, which works like a charm. Comes with Garmap v3, City select v5 for South Africa and City Select for Europe
