Yes i found the smog much greater in Kathmandu then other places, I found taking a few good chest fishermans friend packets with me was great to keep things at bay.
Also when traveling by taxi I used a mouth mask(or something over your mouth to keep dust out)
In all things out there be prepared and carry what you might need...
asthma isn't just found in asia. i have asthma and live in glasgow. asthma is everywhere in the world because of pollution, dust etc. i've had it for several years.
