Hello,

Asia seems a big hit for backpacking travel these days, but most of the information are about Japan, Thailand, Cambodia these countries...

I fancy somewhere new.....for instance, Taiwan, Vietnam, or Burnei..

has anyone been to any of them?

can I have some suggestions of exploring these new places?

If you're looking for somewhere off the beaten track I wouldn't consider Vietnam. It's a very popular destination nowadays and is definitely not "somewhere new" - you're about 10 years too late.

I'm sure that it is a great country to travel in, but you're certainly not breaking new ground there.
