Inspiration needed!
Im 23, work too much and Ive very rarely left the country before. I spend most my free time walking, climbing and wild camping in the lakes ... or clubbing. Ive got around 4 to 6 weeks off work over Christmass and new year and have decided to try and see a bit of the world.
My problem is, I have no idea what do! I know there is so much out there and I want to do it all at some point, it all seems a bit overwhelming. Wherever I go, I need to be a little frugal in order to stay away for 6 weeks.
Ive seen the lonely planet guides, and I am thinking of getting one of the shoestring guides on either South East Asia or Europe. What books or magazines etc do you reccomend also where's the best new years eve party!? Currently I am leaning a little towards South East Asia, as I guess the weather will be a little more hospitable (I camped out in the fells this weekend and decided that id had enough of the weather) but I can imagine it being a little more expensive ... I could probably hitch to the coast and get on a cheap ferry into Europe, but I dont think its that easy to get to South East Asia ha.
Please help my muddled mind!
