Hi, I'm a Toronto highschoool student graduating this june. I have a deferred entry for the London School of Econ & Poli Sci, commence Oct 2006. So from Sept 05 to 06 I have this big chunk of time to work with, and there are only two objectives: I want to travel. My parents require that I put some money toward my hefty Overseas tuition.
I realise that these two objectives are kind of incompatible. my best idea so far is to try and get work on a cruise ship, but I have friends in Europe some of whom would be willing to house me if I could find a suitable job.
So, I am looking for some suggestions. Friends are in Paris, Lipzeig, London and Brussels. Also interested in jobs with accomodations included. My English is excellent, however I'm only 18 with no undergrad degree so I doubt I'll be a very strong candidate for teaching right? Skills include bartending, editing/editorial work, extensive
PR experience with high end Opera company in Toronto, camp counsellor. Obviously up for whatever, but I'm not working to travel - I'm travelling to work. I know this is next to impossible, but anyone with an idea or tip or piece of advice PLEASE let me know. Thanks!!!
