Default But what can I do?

Hi there,
I´m an Austrian English student and I´d love to spend a year or so in London . Consequently, I have to find a job there. The problem is that I have no real qualifications and hardly any working experience... Can you tell me which kind of job I´m likely to get, though? I thought about conducting German evening classes at a language school...
Thank you for helping me ,
Sarah

If you're not fussy you shouldn't have too much trouble finding work. You don't need any qualifications for a retail job or work in a pub or fast food restaurant. However it is probably a better idea to try and find work teaching German.

I doubt you'll find work teaching German unless you have some experience or training in that. A lot of call centres specifically advertise for people who speak other languages. There's also lots of the usual retail and pub work.

as a person who just spend the summer working in london as a foreigner i'd say your best bet (if you want to earn some decent money) is to get in touch with an employment agency. the (easiest) types of jobs to get are secretarial or call centre and with your german and (i'm presuming) good english you should have a slight advantage over the competition. to live in london is another thing completely - london is by no means cheap. of course you can keep it cheap by drinking in, eating in and scoping out http://www.londonfreelist.com/home.asp. accomodation isn't cheap and transport certainly isn't, unless you have a bike and are willing to brave the city streets. but it's a great city and worth every penny!!
