Default Fundraising in the streets - a few questions

I came across these jobs at TNT mag, under 'charities' . Has anyone here done such work or do you know anyone who did?

One of the organisations is Dialogue Direct http://www.funjobs4u.co.uk/flash_index.html (collects funds for Amnesty International, Greenpeace etc, either travelling through the UK or in London), another for itself: http://www.concern.net/indexD.php

I'd love to hear from someone who has already done this, and hear more about it!

(Interested in doing it myself, but do have a few questions. Eg, about the accomodation while travelling (sleeping in vans/buses or hostels or...?), and if there's accommodation offered in London too-? Also, is the 'salary' paid weekly from the beginning or do you have to wait for the first 5 weeks to get paid?)

Thanks!
