Hi everyone,

I would like to know the validity of stay in the UK.
My mom has been granted with 1 year visitors visa and would like to maximise the use of it.

Given the instance, she can stay up to 180 days/6 mos in one visit.
My inquiries are:

1. If she exit the UK before her 180 days of stay, when can she come back to use the rest of validity of her visa.
i.e. Visit is valid from Jan 10 2007 to Jan 10 2008, she can stay up to July 7, 2007...
If she went somewhere in Europe(?) in July 7, 2007 can she return to the UK in July 10, 2007...and use again the next 180 days of her 1-year visitor visa?
Or will there be a minimum stay in other countries or country of origin before she can come back to the UK?

2. A follow up question to that, if she had only a UK visitor's visa, can she apply in any point to have a Schengen visa to visit other European countries?
What will be the requirements for this..and will they grant Schengen Visa if the person applying is away from her country of origin and she is here in the UK as a visitor.

I got my parents here on a same situattion as ur mum was on a 1 year visa and got really head ache about it just wonder how did u do when ur mum was here .
Please let me know if u got any advise
