If you're going to Switzerland don't miss Gryon. It's the friendliest hostel I've ever been too and in a great area. It's up in a small village surrounded by hiking trails. The hostel organizes ski trips all year, big hiking trips, visits to the thermal pools, hang gliding, and everyone hangs out on the balcony barbecuing together. It's a backpacker's heaven.
