Hello!

Just a quick (but quite general!) question! I am volunteering in Belize next year, but will have a few weeks beforehand so will be travelling about a bit. This was going to be with my friend, but she has had to drop out now.

I am quite excited about travelling alone, but also a bit nervous! Does anyone know if Belize is a good country for meeting other backpackers in similar situations? My guidebook says that there are very few hostels with dorm style rooms, which is what I was relying on staying in in order to meet others!

My experience at Nikki Beach Turks and Caicos Resort

We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. The whole experience with Nikki Beach was excellent; our personal assistant Beryl contacted us prior to our arrival for flight details so that she could arrange our limo airport transfers. The room was breathtaking with spectacular views of the ocean. That hotel is truly exceptional, and the restaurant Nikki Cafe, the bar area and pool bar had excellent service with bartender Garth. Personal assistant Chrystal and Zsa Zsa was excellent had great suggestions for activities and restaurants. If we go back to Turks we would definitely stay here again.

Nikki Beach resort turks and caicos was perfect. The service from our Personal Assistants was awesome and the view from our balcony was picture perfect. Most of our days were spent hanging out at the swim up bar in the infinity pool laughing with other guests. James our Beach Attendant was terrific keeping the mojitos flowing. Great location for the resort with a private dock to get dropped off after a day of snorkeling with Caicos Dream Adventure. The housekeeping service was amazing with the room perfect every time we came back from a relaxing day on the beach. A great 5 days ending with a killer party on Friday night. Special thanks to Madeline, Lavonne, Hudson and Ronald.

I've been to Canada numerous times and have enjoyed every visit, but nothing compares to the Canadian Rockies. I think they are even more spectacular than the American Rockies. For scenery and wildlife, would suggest an itinerary such as the one I took back in 1995: four national parks along the Alberta/British Columbia provincial line: Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho. It doesn't get much better than that!

Hi, planning my trip for next jan-june. I was planning on going to Australia first and then heading to north america via Thailand. A friend pointed out to me that by going to america first ill not suffer so badly from jet lag. Has anyone been to North america around january? Weather at present there sounds mild but maybe bit wet. Also any must see's in north america? already plan to go to yosemite national park, yellow stone and grand canynon. anywhere else i shouldnt miss? Any help much appreciated, thanks.

I have been travelling for over two years and have learnt a ton of things and how stupid and uneducated some people are. My overall experience has been fantastic and would recommend anyone to travelling. I love South and Central America and the fact that its cheap is an added bonus. There are so many things to see and many things you have to keep your ears open to hear about them or you will miss it. On of these is Itiapu Dam in Brazil. The sheer size of it blew my mind but I have meet many people that where only a matter of miles away from it but didnt know it was there. Its not advertised much and you have to go digging for it. Hey hey, im selling my Rosetta stone spanish version 3. It is a used copy, but in great condition. It is Spaish spanish and not latin spanish but to be honest there is not much difference and it provides you with the basics for you to build on once you are in South America, i can say this as i have an Argentinean boyfriend and the software made a massive difference in my learning! I'm selling it purely because i've completed it and i'm moving country in a few weeks and having a massive clearout, so i'm selling this onwards to a good home. It has all the 3 cds plus installation discs. i'm selling mine for 50pounds. Perfect condition.
