Rajasthan. Mount Abu or Bundi?

Hey there!

I am currently in jodhpur and was going to be traveling either to Mount abu. I am looking for a more quiet place and less touristy. Does anyone have a preference between these two places? I have heard good things about both places but I dont know which one to chose. If anyone has any suggestions that would be much appreciated!

I love the travel industry. There's certain feelings I get when traveling to a new place and I want others to feel the same way I do about visiting some place new or experiencing something totally different than what I am use to. I currently work in the travel business advertising vacation property and after seeing how beautiful the land is where some of the properties reside, I get this strong feeling of envy for the owners who get to enjoy the beauty of a vacation destination and of the land their homes rest on.

I'm looking to head out to Asia around the end of may / start of june for a few months.
Don't really have any plan, just do a bit of Asia (maybe starting in Thailand) then end up in Australia to see my mate who's living out there.
Would love someone to go with because I've never done anything like this before and think others could give me some good ideas on where to go, or if not, it'd be nice to have people to enjoy it with.

RTW trip - Feb 2011

I know this is a bit early, but I thought if I found a travel buddy early we could plan the trip together and have more time to save.

So I don't have any set plan or anything, but I was thinking about heading over to Rio for the Carnival then working my way up to the USA to work and travel for a while. Maybe do a roadtrip or something. Then over to Aus and NZ and work there for a while. I would like to spend Christmas over there. From there over to Asia, and then Africa. I would love to do Europe too if the funds hold out. I am looking to do this on a budget so plan to stay in hostels, camping and use Couchsurfing. I am totally open to any places and experiences. Looking to combine volunteer work, paid work and travels.

Me - I am a 22 year old female and in my last year of Uni so I graduate in the Summer as a teacher. I am pretty easy going so get on with most people. I really want to just have a great time and make some memories. I am open to any opportunities, parties, trekking, extreme sports, etc. I want to do things that I wouldn't normally do everyday!

Anyway sorry about the huuuge essay I have just written! If anyones intereted get in touch and we can discuss it further.

How can I find companions to travel abroad with?

So I want to travel from the US to pretty much anywhere abroad in the next few months. The only problem is I can't find anyone among my friends at home who will commit to going with me. They either can't find the time or don't have the money to go. Is there a way to find other people out there in the same situation who have the time and money to go abroad but can't find travelling companions? Are there any travel forums or message boards on the internet I can look at? I'm 27 years old, so I'm too old to go with a high school tour group and too young to join a seniors tour! :) Are there any tour groups out there for people my age? Any helpful suggestions will be most appreciated!

Well hello strangers,

I'm already in SE Asia, just heading up to Hanoi, Vietnam, and after a couple of months of lone travel I'd LOVE a travel buddy. I'm trying to make a lil' video diary/documentary of my trip, or a small part of it, and turns out it's not a solo project so I'm really hoping to find a partner in crime. Perhaps a film student or graduate or otherwise someone with some experience with a camcorder and an interest in film and TV. This would be perfect for anyone who wants to gain experience/practice behind a camera or in tv production and/or wants to build a portfolio. OR just someone who wants to have a giggle with a camera... Filming would probably only take a week or so and the rest of the time can be spent living the travelling dream.

The Great Circular Indian Railway Challenge

We are a private group of individuals, none of us have even met each other (yet). We are organising a mad dash round the perimeter of the Indian Railway network. 2 weeks starting Mumbai, and going to the furthest most points west, north, east and south of the IR system, and back to Mumbai. We're going in Feb 2011 so you've loads of time to work out how to join in.
We've got about 7 ladies on the trip, so if you are one of the superior sex and wanted some company to do an Indian train trip with, this is a great chance. The full gang is about 25 right now.
You'll be buying your own ticket direct from IR, we have people who can show you how to do that. There are absolutely no agents or operators involved, and you can do just part of the trip if you think that 2 weeks solid on Indian trains is just a bit too stupid. The Assam section alone would be a great adventure in itself.
It will cost about £150 to £300 depending on how comfy you want to be.
