Airfare during peak season

    Hey All,
    Any advice for getting cheap plane tix to Europe during June-July? I will be flying into one country and leave from another, or will this be a wasted expense? Thanks for your input.

    Patrick,

    Try flying standby. You feel like a refugee, but you get to your destination! I flew standby during the holiday season! While I felt at times I would NEVER get home, I DID get on a flight, eventually. Also try last minute tickets which are sometimes available over the Internet.

    As for flying into one city and out the other, that depends on your schedule, entirely. If you fly into Paris, it might be just plain more convenient to fly home from Paris, as all roads lead to Paris. However, if you fly to London and then go to the continent, it might be just plain more convenient to fly home from Paris, Frankfurt, or Amsterdam. I know I had NO DESIRE to haul back to London after I left.
