This hostel is still looking new even though it has been open a while. I found the security procedures made it a little anti-social, but necessary and the lack of adequate cooking facilities meant that although the price of a night is good value, you were unable to save money on eating in. The Hostel was also very noisy, particularly rooms at the front over the bar, although this is not so much of a problem if you plan to be spending lots of time in the bar anyway.Overall time spent here was enjoyable but definately not the best hostel I have stayed in.

As their add says "Probally the worlds best backpacker hostel" seemed too good to be true but all i can say is, it is true. I had a great stay and would recommend Wanderers to anyone. When i stayed they had a promotion where if you introduced a new customer to their hostel, you receive a $5.00 cash credit. It paid for my return visit to Wanderers arfter travelling round Australia.

I found Wanderers to be nothing like most Hostels i have stayed in over my years of traveling.The Hostel is CHEAP! new and Clean with every facility i needed in the Hostel eg. Internet access. All staff were friendly & helpful.It is located centrally in the city so it was close to all the major tourist attractions such as Darling Harbour. I would recommend that anyone who wants cheap, safe & clean accommodation to stay at Wanderers.

We stayed in Wanderers on Kent last June. Very safe and very clean. The staff are really helpfully & it has a cool bar with great discounts on food and drink.
