OK hostel, good location near kings Cross but a little closer to the city center. Rooms very cramped and TV room gets over crowded at night with lots of cig smoke.

I was working in Sydney for 3 months, and I tried a few hostels neare Central Station, which were expensive and pretty bad, and I tried some up in Kings Cross, which wern't very good either.I then was recommended Boomerang by a work buddy, and found it to be great, we had many BBQ's on the rooftop and comfortable dorm rooms to sleep in. The showers & kitchen were better than any others I have used in Austrralia. The staff were fun to be with, and we all went out on pub crawls in the evening, suffering fom many a hangover the next day. A well run hostel.

I had a great time at Boomerang Backpackers, as soon as I phoned from the airport the manager came out and picked me up , this was a great free service. The hostel is extremly clean and new, I have never stayed in a hostel with such a clean kitchen and bathroom facilities. Lovely hot showers all day, the hostel has its walls covered with many beautiful framed pictures of aound Australia which inspires guests to visit these amazing places. The rooftop terrace is one of the best features of the hostel, no other hostel has such a marvellous view of Sydneys Harbour Bridge and the city. There is a BBQ up here which guests can use anytime to have a good Aussie feed. The bedrooms are nice with new and clean matresses, nice views out of the windows and the double rooms have their own TV and lounge furniture in them. There is also a cable TV room which my boyfriend used to watch the English football. The hostel also does a great continental breakfast every morning of cereals, toast, tea, jams etc as much as you want. The location of the hostel is great, just down William street and only 7 minutes to walk to the centre. There is a nice pizza & kebab shop underneath as well as a 24 convienience store. The staff and management are very friendly & helpful and organized us for a trip to the Blue Mountains which is a must to do in Sydney. We had a very pleasant time staying at BoomerangAndrea Spelling & Toby Chatman

Owner willing to pick you up at any time from train station, the dorm rooms could do with a little more space, but have very clean bathrooms on the floors below. Free breakfast from 8am - 9am, which is the usual toast and cereal, and the cornflakes taste quite nice for once! Only downside is the TV lounge is always crowded! and as for lockers, they're in the owners internet cafe next door, which you have to pay extra to use, aswell as pay for luggage storage. But cheap price for Sydney anyway!
