As soon as I walked into the blue Parrot I knew that this hostel was one of the best hostels I have been to whilst on my travels! It is clean, freshly decorated,in a great location and the place is very welcoming and friendly! I would defiantly recommend this hostel to anyone who is visiting Sydney!

After checking out of a dump in Kings Cross I was ready to give up back packing and check into a hotel. Then I stumbled across the parrot. It was like home, so clean modern and VERY friendly!! Gareth and all the crew were great and made everyone feel welcome. I would recommend it to anyone as there is never a dull moment. A great starting place for anyone visiting Sydney!!!

Must be one of the bast hostels I've ever stayed in. You couldn't find any nicer people who run this place, and their all young and full of life. You'll meet friends here that you don't know what you'd do without.

The Blue Parrot has srange powers, you plan to stay there for a few days and you suddenly find yourself still there months later! The reason for this is the uniquely friendly atmosphere of the place. Everyone is always invited to join in whatever is going on, and you never feel alone. In addition to this it is very clean, and security is of the uptmost importance to the management so you always feel safe. I wouldn't even bother looking anywhere else, but be prepared to stay a few months!!!!

Having stumbled across the Blue Parrot after checking out all the other Hostels in Kings Cross I instantly knew I was on to a winner at the Blue Parrott. Gareth & all the crowd are so welcoming & friendly...I liked it so much it became home for over 2 months. During my time there I met some fab people & it is in such an ace position...near to some great restaurants & the cafe society of Potts Point, and only a 10 15 minute walk to the city through Wooloomoloo & the Botanical gardens. So my advise when in Sydney is....forget the rest...head for the best !

This is a great way to get to know people! It is a really friendly, relaxed, and well run hostel. Stayed there for the many months I was in Sydney, and at no other hostel was it so easy to relax and have a great time. You'll see people coming back there time and time again (and staying for ages!!)

I wasnt supposed to stay more than 2 days in Sydney until I found the blue parrot!! Had the best time ever in this place and met real friends for life!! I finally ended up staying 3 months in the parrot up to 6.My best souvenir was on christmas day!! 20 of us had a huge BBQ, went to the beach and organized a secret santa, so everyone could have a present for christmas, it was hilarious!!! I travelled all around New-Zeland and the East Coast and I never found a place as friendly and clean!! If u have to stay in sydney for a while or just for a day, u definatly have to go to the blue parrot because its a magic place!!! Trust me!!

There is a magnetic force around The Blue Parrot hostel. Everyone i know who has stayed there finds it hard to leave. There is a number of reasons for this. It could be to do with the warm friendly atmosphere, the comfy lounge with a homely feel or the backyard courtyard. The Blue Parrot is unique and even after travelling all round oz i still rate it as one of the best. See it to believe it!!!

If you want a hostel that is clean, friendly, safe, relaxed and fun the Blue Parrot is for you! After travelling around the whole of Australia I still say the Blue Parrot is by far the best. Visit it for a night and see for yourself, but dont expect to leave the following day.

On my visit to Sydney i came across the Blue Parrot hostel and it is the best backpackers i have ever stayed in! It's extremely clean, the beds are comfortable and everyone there is friendly and out-going.The court-yard was a big bonus as it provided a pleasant atmosphere to relax and have many a barbeque! I absolutely loved my stay there and would recommend it to anyone. Five Stars!!
