I have stayed at Fraser Escape 3 times 1st time in Jan 1999, 2nd in May 2001 & 3rd in Jan 2003 - 1st time in a dorm for 7 days paying $9 a night, last 2 times camping at $5 a night - & God willing I'll go back yeah it's not the most luxurious place but the local facilities are good - 3 mins to the beach which is stinger & shark free, no surf but who wants a ton of water dumped on you if you just wanna swim - the beach is about 8kms/5miles long - geat FREE fishing - good local shops, a "British" pub & an "Oirish" pub (yugh to both) - but the best about FE is the nightlife in the on site Niteclub every night, daft games, comps, happy hour (soon get your $4 back), dancing to a hi-tech DVD thingy, karoke with really good prizes (I won $50 & was 3rd & crap) & all round good time & it closes when last man/female is down. Everynight at dusk 1000s of bats fly over, a sight worth seeing - I would recommend FE even if for a one night stopover & their Fraser Island trips are great fun (virgins & teetotallers not allowed!!) no only joking & good value, cos Fraser Island is an amazing place, deffo somewhere to see. Well that's my view of FE. Nothing tricky at all, after all, as hookers say "life is full of tricks".
