This hostel is very good an relaxed. The owners are very friendly people which make it a really nice place. I would certainly recommend it to other people.

You don't get a key to your room and, when they tell you, it sounds a bit strange. But after only one day it's very easy to understand why. Mission Beach Backpackers Lodge is the place where you always wanted to be, a place so magic that nothing wrong can happen. The place is managed by a young german couple and their lovely dog, while the owner is the smartest australian guy I found so far. Across the road from a shopping centre, a pub and a resort - 5 minutes walk to palm beaches, bananas plantations and rainforest - 10 minutes sailing to Dunk Island. All the rest you need is just inside the Lodge: home feeling, tropical surronding and real good people to spend the best time of your life. Not the place for all night booze parties.

I was encouraged to this hostel by a friend and told him I would spend maybe one night. But this is no ordinary hostel, there is a special understanding between guests and staff and I soon felt very much at home. Take advantage of of its drop off facility whitch will give you the opportunity for adventure and relaxation combined.
