I agree with this being a big party hostel but everybody thought the same thing. The carpets in the rooms are crawling with flees and the beds, well, they don't change the bottom sheet after somebody checks out. The toilets are disgusting. I can't belive a place this dirty stays open. It is a good fun place to stay but the noise is terrible, no sleeping is done here at night. If you don't mind the dirty rooms and toilets then you will be fine.

The place to go in Noosa if you're hunting for a shag. This place was kicking, i mean i've experienced people shagging in dorm rooms before, but 4 people scoring in the same night, bloody hell its like a roman orgy in this place!!

We spent a week at Koala resort noosa, original we only booked 1 night, we had the best time. The atmosphere is fabulous and social. We meet so many travellers and really made some great friendships. Highly recommend this hostel close to everything, great bar and love the staff.

A great hostel but we had a twin and the room was smaller than the hostels bathroom (it was so small we couldnt open our bags and stand on the floor). It was also off a dorm which meant we had to walk through the dorm to get out of our room or to the bathroom. The walls of the rooms are also paper thin resulting in us getting very little sleep because of our noisy neighbours in the dorm. You might as well just pay the dorm rate because it feels like you are sleeping in it anyway!

I stayed at Koalas in 2000 and am going back this year (02), Koalas is a real party hostel, the rooms were a little old feeling but clean, the bar is the best place to be in Noosa at night with jugs of cocktail and cheap food, for daytime activities the staff will help to arrange them all, they can arrange fraser island trips in conjunction with the Koalas there and on top of that they do a mean sunday roast. The only down side is the steap hill when walking back from the beach but they do lay on a bus throughout the day. I would not stay anywhere else in Noosa and I saw them all!!
