We stayed for 3 nights at North Shore and it was a great place to stay. We had a great bbq which was super! If you stay 2 nights or more, you can have free tennis or free canoe, a meal for only $6 and a free beer or wine. The apartments are really clean and big. Mickey D. is the best, he can fix everything you ask for. Kangaroos allover the place as well as peacocks and parrots. Beautiful and relaxed with a nice swimming pool as well.

This resort was the cheapest we stayed in our entire trip AND the nicest. The rooms are big with a private bath and a shared kitchen and living area with one other apartment. Mickey (the shuttlebus driver) is absolutely the best. Ask him for help and he will deliver. What a great guy! There is a private beach on the ocean and a nice lake where we watched the sunset as the kangaroos came out into the field behind us every night - about 17 of them. There are also parrots, cockatoos and peacocks wandering about the place. It is far from town, so if you need restaurants, bars and clubs, this might not be the place for you, but for relaxation and wildlife, stay here. There is a bar and restaurant on site and the food here was among the best I had anywhere in the country.

This place was brilliant. They have a courtesy bus to town and back. And for the money you pay for a dorm bed, you get a mini house to share between 12 people max. The kangaroos are very friendly and we had one in our kitchen and there are woods surrounding the place where you can go for walks and see loads of wildlife. Also, had a lot of fun kayaking and fishing here and the staff are very friendly. Top place!

We loved this place! the poor place were put in the wrong section of the lonely planet. The staff bent over backwards to help us! especially Mickey. When we got off our bus in Noosa we went to get the free transfer bus. Even though we'd booked ahead, they didn't have a note of us. For the rest of our 2 day stay, Mickey did everything in his control to make it up to us: upgrading us to a selfcontained suite for the same price as a dorm, and taking us on tours of Noosa in his spare time. We had a pool pretty much to ourselves and the hostel owns their own beach! We had the best day of our trip here!

This place is very clean, with a really nice pool and jacuzzi. We were given our own apartment which was beautiful, but we also got a tour of the dorms which were the best I've seen yet in Oz. Having breakfast with the kangaroos on the terrace was great. The guy who drives the bus (Mickey) is really friendly and helpful, and by the time you go there they should have a brand new bus too, which will make it a lot easier getting to and from town.

Yeh i totally agree with those guys, friendly staff and really nice and clean rooms, it was nice to wake up and watch kangaroos walking around outside your room, and the pool with the big massive spa, well it looked nice at 2 in the morning. defently if you want a relaxing break check this place out,or if your going north check out A1 Fraser Roving, really friendly and clean and right in the middle of all the action, even book your fraser island trips its great...

don't be put off by the distance to the town centre from this hostel.. that's the beauty of it. it's set just inside the forest and expect to see kangaroos hopping past your dorm or tent every day. the ferry costs 50c return to town and it only takes about 15mins in the courtesy bus. the dorms are more like hotel appartments with tv, sofas etc. and the place is extremely well kept. There's a huge shallow lake to canoe around, tennis courts and horses... that's if the roos, possums, goannas, peacocks and other brightly coloured birds don't keep you amused!
