Don't even consider staying in this hotel. Small, unfriendly people, dirty and in short, Disgusting. I will never go back again. Heard from some friends recently that they have some dodgy policy to charge your credit card to get a deposit and if you cancel your room even one week in advance, you will not get your money back. That's awful!

Minutes from the beach and advice about all the places to visit in Surfers, it was the perfect place to stay; private, personal and fun. They really know how to make you feel at home and if you have any worries about anything, the staff go out of their way to help. The bar and barbecue area was nice. Also good were the balconies and en-suite in every room. Recommended for anybody.

Stayed here for a week and that was long enough as Surfers is alittle overated. The Hostel rooms are clean aswere the ensuite bathrooms. Kitchen was too small and cutlery was hard to find. TV area was ok but the sofa's died about 5 years ago..need replacing asap!!! No pool but beach is 2 min's walk. Their inhouse bar is ok but not the cheapest, free breakfast was a bonus but thats now stopped being offered. Only real downside of hostel is that the Bar, Kitchen, Reception, Laundry and Common area all closed at 10pm so the hostel felt a little like a motel during the evenings.

ayd there for 10 days and could have stayd longer ,on the way there i was dropped off on a shuttle bus and this place looked better then most of the hotels other people were staying in!!, very very clean ,cheap meals free breckfast freindly staff that organise tours also the rooms are great, also i met alot of international backpackers hence the name, japanese sweedish new zealanders germans and english. With such people around there is never a dull moment especialy at night moving on..the rooms are great balcony tv and ensuite. what more could you want for $20 or so a night! + discounts for when you hit the night life of the local clubs and drinking holes

im hanging to come back soon,

other backpacker hostels in the area seem slummy, this is not

HI HENRY!

A really friendly hostel, the staff were really helpful organising trips and arranging transport to airports etc. Free breakfast, good pubcrawls, and only 4 beds in the biggest dorms! Really helps that all rooms have an ensuite and balcony too! Keep up the good work, oh yeah and HI HENRY!!!!

Stayed there for about 3 nights and had a wicked laugh, pool comps, BBQ's, free breakfast, and friendly staff that join in!

TV's in the rooms and nice balconies, a really easy going place about 5 minutes walk from the beach and bars.

Would def stay there again.

Ihave been travelling around Australia for close to a year now, and this hostel is choice! In all of the rooms, there is your own tv, bathroom and balcony, and the staff are actually really friendly, and a great help...

I had a friend who was staying at British Arms, and had to organise a bus to Brisbane, as he was flying out at 7am, and all of the staff just said "I don't know" so i asked here, and it wasn't a problem at all, and the bus ended up picking him up at his hostel!

So not only are our rooms decked out, and we are treated like humans, but each morning we receive continental breakfast absolutely FREE!!!

WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT???

My boyfriend and I stayed 5 nights here in January. They were great as we had a late check in and there is no 24 hour reception, but they will stay until you get there if you require so. Really clean facilities, nice beachy feel to the place which is fitting. The room was really good and we got a nice surprise when we arrived as the double rooms have ensuites as well - so that was a bonus and for the same price as other backpackers that dont include that. The staff are friendly and helpful. Its really close to the main surfers shops and the beach is a block away. Found it all really worth the price and had a really good time.
