Brilliant place - hotel facilities at hostel prices. Spa, tennis court, TV/bathroom even in the cheap rooms, squash, gym, arcade, internet. 2 mins walk from the nightlife and you can literally roll into the bus station. I stayed with mates there but I imagine if you're on your own it might not be so good as there was no obvious communal area for backpackers to meet but otherwise, best hostel I stayed at in Australia.

Stayed for 10 days and didn't want to leave. The facilities were amazing and everything was provided. Good atmosphere and met plenty of other travellers to go out with. Everything we needed was within walking distance, and bus stops shopping malls and theme parks were close by. Kitchen was a little small but adequate for cooking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it to others.

First, the good things about the hostel. The girls on the reception were very helpful and friendly, among the best hostel staff I've come across. Second, the rooms are top class. The one I was in had a balcony, TV, fridge. And this is all at standrad hostel price, in fact cheaper than many I stayed at in Australia.

The only downside was really that because the hostel was effectively within a hotel building, there was no focal point for backpackers to meet, etc. But a pleasant stay nonetheless.

Wow, I just loved this place. It was like being in a hotel room instead of a hostel. The room I was in had a wonderful bathroom, a closet with full-length mirrors, a TV, a phone and conveniant side tables, a fridge, a balcony with a clothes rack, and only 4 people per room. Fantastic! And the facilities are out of this world, with tennis courts, sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, and a huge game room downstairs and internet lab. There's also a big locker assigned to you with your room (no extra cost!) that has REAL blankets and sheets in it for the bed. This was by far the cosiest I've ever been in a hostel.

It is extremely conveniantly located to the main strip, with Paradise center right next door and the beach only a 5 min. walk away. It's so close to great shopping, beautiful beach, and yummy Korean restaurants, that I never wanted to leave! I could have spent my entire spring break in this place and in this city.

Sorry, it's Tedra again, but I had to add that, you guessed, it's right next to the bus transit center. When I had to catch my bus down the coast, all I had to do was walk out the Nomads Backpackers reception downstairs and turn left and there it was, right next door!

Also, reading the Lonely Planet guide, I was a surprised at the lackluster review they gave this place, so if I were you, I'd completely ignore it! :)

This hostel was like staying in a Resort but paying Backpacker prices!! We came here for a couple of days but ended up staying nearly two weeks. It is right smack bang in the middle of the Surfers Paradise, has a pool, spa, sauna, tennis court, you name it! The rooms even have TV's and bar fridges! I recommend you come and check it out for yourselves, just get off the bus and walk next door.....
