This is by far the best hostel I've stayed at in australia. They have all the bases covered for things you could want. The kitchen is great, bedrooms are spacious, lots of places to hangout away from a tv, nice tv room, and also a movie room where they play a different movie each night. I wish they could all be like this one!

We stayed here, and after hearing such praising reviews I have to say yes it was clean and nice and new but still a very dull atmosphere to the whole place. You can give the YHA a nice building but it's still a YHA.

I stayed here for a couple of weeks in 2001, just after it opened. It was the cleanest hostel I stayed in, the rooms were big and spacious and you needed a key card to get in your room, making it very secure. When I went it was very quiet, probably cos it had just opened, so it was a great place to relax. Kitchen facilities were superb also. There was still a friendly atmosphere amongst the guests though. The staff were ok, not especially friendly though.
