This was my last stop on my Europe trip and it had everything I needed to unwind: a nice dining area, cosy living room with a TV frequently playing The Sound of Music, and Internet access. It's a short walk away from the city centre and the hostel helps organize a good Sound of Music Tour as well (a very scenic tour even if you're not a huge fan of the movie). Security is very good.

The yoho was definetly a great place to meet people - I actually enjoyed the conversations that I had while I waited 20 minutes to take my shower for 10 AS. The staff are really nice and helpful - I arrived in Salzburg late and snatched their last room - a party was waiting when I arrived (but wait, there is a party every night).

To sum it up, it served great breakfast and dinners at cheap prices, the staff helped me plan tours (ice caves tour is recommended), rafting and a canyoning trip, cool bar with a great happy hour, showers arent too good (you do have to keep pushing a button), but everything is clean and comfortable, and it attracts a fun bunch of travellers, always brilliant nights out (make sure you visit the monk beer hall).

i felt this place didn't live up to what i'd heard about it. yeah, there's a bar, and the food is good, BUT the staff are rude, the showers cost money (stingy!!) as do the lockers. it's okay, but nothing special. i've certainly stayed in better.

This is a great hostel to stay in. It is easy to meet people and the rooms are nice. The food was hot and tasty, although I couldnt say the same for the showers. They are NOT private and require you to push a button constantly. Not to mention 10-20 min waits. Easy walk from any sights in the city too. Definitly reccomend this one!

This is a great hostel. The rooms are spotless and not too large, and include a desk and a sink. The showers are hot (and private) and there are washing facilities. Downstairs is a bar and kitchen with reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the early curfew time, although there is a night porter who will let you in.
