I just got back from Europe and the Westend City Hostel was the last stop on my trip. I arrived in Vienna sick as a dog and was very happy that they had signs in all of train stations directing you where to go. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm on the 4th floor. The room was very large and sunny and everything was very clean. The staff was very helpful, too. They supposedly turn off the elevator from 10PM to 6AM but I don't think they really do, as I was up late a few times and it was still running. Breakfast was good but they ran out one morning and were unapologetic about it. Internet was a little expensive but I think it's that way everywhere in the city. Overall, top-notch.

I stayed 6 nights (april 2003) at the west end and I really enjoyed it! this is a very nice hostel, the staff at the reception is very friendly, you can come and go whenever you want, new and clean bed- and bathrooms, it is so close to westbahnhof and the metro (3 minutes walk) and you get to know plenty of nice and interesting people!

I stayed in this hostel at the end of March 2003. The location was great, only 3-4 minutes from Westbanhof station. The metro connection is in the station so very close. The hostel is fairly new, so new beds, bedding, showers, etc. I stayed in a 10 bed room that had a bathroom in the room. The breakfast was included and consisted of bread, jam, and coffee/tea. The staff was very helpful and will tell you where to find the best kebaps in the city. Don't forget to ask for one of the free maps at the desk. Enjoy!!
