I have now stayed in the Bruegel Hostel for almost two weaks. I leave tomorrow and I feel really sad about it. This hostel has good beds and nice and clean rooms. Toilets are in the hallway together with the showers and those are ok. Very hot water though, be carefull. The staff is great, and from different parts of the world. The hostel has a nice bar in the basement where you easily can meet people. The hostel restaurant provides great dinner at a reasonable price. The breakfast is included in the price of the room and is good. The location is great - within walking distance of the Grand Place and all the other things in central Brussels. The area behind the hostel is very nice. The only thing I can think of that is bad with Bruegel is the curfew. You have to be out between 10 am and 2 pm every day, and the hostel closes at 1 o clock am every night, so you can't stay out very late.If I ever come back to Brussels, I will stay in this hostel.

Having spoken directly to staff several weeks in advance and received assurance of booking confirmation, I arrived on the expected day at 1630 only to find that there was no accomodation available in the hostel. This is not the treatment that I have come to expect in the UK.
