I was there on Dec 2002. The hostel is good; The staffs are nice; But the location is bad. Its amidst a slum kind of area and you have to walk lots from the port de vlander stop.. Thou the location is bad, once you are out of the slum and walk for 20 mins, you are in Grand place and Meneken pis .. No good restaurants around.. Had to go to the center ..

We stayed in february, we were origionally told we couldn't stay more than a couple of days, bus we stayed a whole week, the facilities were clean, but staff manage to double book rooms, i went to my room to find it full of girls (not included in the price), and then they forgot to check our yhi cards (they were out of date) and where were the pool table or any sort of games toplay? but the croud that were there were brill. however if you're a lone female i would reccomend traveking at night with company in the local area, its a bit dark.

facilities that were advertised to be available at this hostle were: internet access (non-existant), bar (currently under renovation, so not available), lunch and dinner (we will only make this for you if you are a large group, not a lone traveller). at least they had lockers.

This place has a clean building with lots of rooms, parking, bar, dining room, but the employees need a crash course on customer service !!!The location is bad, the neighborhood is dirty and dark, not nice at all. I also hated the matresses lined in plastic: I will not urinate on your blankets, buddy!

if you could get through to the staff and have them answer your questions im sure it could be a great place. i tried for three days to get accom. in brussels and they were the least helpful. so no points on customer service.
