Sleep Well is good enough for a night or two, which is just about as much time as should be spent in Brussels. Short walk from Grand Place and shopping. Maybe a bit pricey, but not incredibly so. At time I was there, Sleep Well was undergoing some renovations, so in a few months, it will look nicer.

This place is not a hostel; they consider themselves as a 5 stars hotel! They treat you as sh...t, with their tie. Location is good but that's all. Expensive place; of course not as much as Paris or Amsterdam but the more expensive youth hostel in Brussels. Worst of it you must pay for sheets even if you have a sleeping bag!

unpersonal, unfriendly, unsecure, rates much higher than the ones you mention. so do not trust the hostelworld system which makes you believe it's the only hostel in brussels.Spent the next day at van gogh hostel. Unbeatable prices, great bar, and friendly staff

I was only there for the night, but found the place clean, and the bed's comfortable. Our quad room had its own shower which i must admit had to be handheld and the breakfast also left a bit to be desired. If your just there to get a good nights sleep then this is the place to go, if you want somewhere for an extended period of time then find somewhere else!!!

This is really a sleep stop for people on the move. Basics are provided - breakfast, information and services are available. Amenities are clean and modern. As with the mindset of Brussels, management is businesslike and straightforward. Near 2 shopping malls, it is 2 metro stops to restaurant row (la Bourse) and the Gran Place area. Cheap eats in the malls and supermarkets too. Overall value is Good. Regarding internet use in Belgium - the keyboards are arranged differently from North America and generally setup in French or Dutch.

In February '03 the staff was great, very helpful even when overrun by hordes of confused tourists. When they ran out of rooms on a busy weekend they spent lots of time helping people find other rooms in town, or in nearby towns. Their tourist office, open in the AM, was particularly excellent. The location is quite nice, close to everything, esp. the North rail station. Prices were quite nice. Their ongoing expansion should really help with the weekend crowding.

So far all the reviews for this hostel are either extremely good or extremely bad. I stayed there during Jan 2 to Jan 5, 2003. This hostel is one street behind the shopping area in Brussels, and it is about 10/15 minutes walk to all the sight seeing places, excellent location. The best of this hostel is it is VERY clean and bright, I hate hostel that are dark which make everything look so dirty. I stayed in a quad room with bath, for an extra 1 Euro I don't have to carry all my stuffs to the shower room.
