I stayed here in Sept 2003. The hostel was full and was a hive of activity. The hostel itself is unusual in that it has lots of wooden beams and low ceilings... One room tends to lead to another.... There was a shortage of bathrooms and hot water at times ....

Staff in the hostel were friendly though not always in the bar... Free keg of beer on Wednesday evenings and a special 99KC menu each evening... food was great here....

They don't however accept Hostel of Europe card as advertised....

This hostel has heaps of character and is in an excellent location. The staff are friendly. There is a great/cheap restaurant/bar on site with plenty of seating, both inside and out. The hostel also has a kitchen.

The loft dorm rooms have lots of character and plenty of space. Our room only had 4 beds but it was the sole access to another larger dorm (12 beds?). This meant that people were coming in and out ALL night and the door was squeaky!! Also these have to be the HARDEST beds I have ever slept on - they were more like 3 large, very tightly stuffed pillows.

The bathrooms were clean but the showers were operated by push buttons - water stayed on literally for 3 seconds before the button needed to be pushed again!!

If the thought of sleeping on concrete doesn´t bother you this hostel is gorgeous.

One of the best hostels I have stayed at. Very clean, friendly and efficient staff, a fun and relaxed atmosphere and NO BUNK BEDS!! Really good location too, not too far from anything.

this hostel was great to stay at, really homely, good food from the bar, friendly people, plus TV and videos.

having no bunk beds was also a bonus, and the bathrooms were fine. i really loved it here, and would go back.

I was only there very briefly, but this hostel was cool. There's a bar right to it, first of all, which right there is almost enough to earn my stamp of approval. Everyone staying in the hostel of course spends the night drinking in the bar - or at least they did while I was there. There was no hot water for the showers, which could have been very, very annoying if I was there any longer. Cesky Krumlov is a fantastic place to buy cheap knockoff football jerseys if you're into that kind of thing. The beds are very comfortable and there are no bunk beds, which is a good thing given how much people probably stumble around after the bar.

Hostel 99 is lovely, they have only single beds (no bunks!), a great little kitchen, lounge area to watch TV and videos, and a nice terrace garden. The owners are great to go out and party with (and the long-termers there as well). Really enjoyed it.
